Along this path that I have been developing in the area of self-knowledge and personal development since 2001, I found for over 10 years this medicine that I speak and practice so much daily: Traditional Chinese Medicine. To me, this medicine is undoubtedly much more than a medicine, much more than its clinical and therapeutic techniques.
This medicine, endowed with ancient philosophies and knowledge, helps us so well to understand and listen to our body: how I what feel can be relate to an organ or system of the body; what foods are making me sick; why I have so many symptoms and manifestations of heat and dryness in my body (or cold and damp!); why I feel sadder in the fall or winter; how a particular symptom or illness may have a deep meaning about my lifestyle or even my life purpose; the relationship of a single point in my body, being able to eliminate a headache in minutes… how everything relates… and how nothing separates…
It took many years of this path of self-knowledge to rediscover me. Throughout our lives, it's very easy to get lost, from who we really are, what we really like, what we really need. Undoubtedly, Chinese medicine and its exhaustive study were decisive for this rediscover. And it took even more years of knowledge, experience, therapy, practice, integration and so many challenges ... before i start to helping each other professionally.
In an age in which we live this boom of Therapies, Spirituality, and Personal Development, it is crucial to respect and understand that each one has their own way, and it is crucial to be aware of their own way. The responsibility to treat and help each other is neither less nor greater than the responsibility to treat and help ourselves. Being a Therapist should not be a fad or fashion way, and it is crucial to be aware of the path you have taken and even more, of the impact it can have on the lives of those who pass by. While on the one hand, it is wonderful to see this awakening and growth in these areas, on the other hand, it is at least caricatory and frightening, when suddenly everyone becomes influencers, therapists, without the essencial background.
Although most really believe that they are doing good for each other and for the world, it is very important to reflect on whether they have just joined one fashion wave, if they really walk, in the way that suggests to others to walk.
In fact, the best you can do for others, for the world, is to be happy and honest with yourself. Finding your own balance, health and well-being and not just try to change another's life - because you don't change it :) Achieving your purpose, shining your abilities and gifts, succeeding in every area of your life Be happy and healthy, whatever that means to you! And all this, including the ups and downs of life, challenges and surprises, because none of that disappears - only what changes is the way we react, manage, cope and release.
The best you can do is show it, live in the first person, set the example.
Respect yourself. Be honest. Be happy.
And believe, that just and only by improving yourself, you always improve something and someone around you ...!
It is no use read about or knowing in my mind what chocolate is, if it never tastes it. It is no use reading all the books of the great wisdom of the world, if you will never put that into practice. There is no point in gaining immense knowledge if you do nothing with it. It is no use saying wonderful phrases, appealing to consciousness and change, if you are still unconscious and plunged into inner negativity. It's no use meditating if you continue to mistreat each other and / or yourself. It's no use filling social networks with bright, radiant and full of smiles and color photos if your life is still gray ...
Do not try, however, to be perfect. Do not neglect a part of yourself, as it may not be well regarded or accepted. Do not forget who you are in order to please others by showing something you are not. Don't follow fashion waves just to feel integrated if that doesn't match your essence. Do not disrespect each other for being who you are, because we are all unique, different and special. Each one has their own story, as you have yours. And don't try to change anyone's story if you live wrapped in your own plot. Before judging the other, look inside and ask: What can I do best for myself that benefits my entire environment equally?
If we all did this homework, this inner work, the world would be much better…!
